All about Taghazout
The picturesque village of Taghazout rests on the edge of the Atlantic at just fifteen kilometres North of Agadir with the foothills of the High Atlas rising up behind. Here you can enjoy the sun all the year round.
On arrival in the village you will see the mosque to your right and the main square to your left. The old village consists of fisherman’s houses painted in traditional pink and white which spill down to the sea. Every day you can buy delicious fresh fish from the fisherman complemented by the wonderful variety of vegetables from the local markets.
At just 19 kilometres from Agadir, Taghazout gives you all the tranquility of a small village and the accessibility of the large city with all it has to offer. Agadir has a huge choice of restaurants right on the sea-front, a fascinating port which you can explore and eat fresh fish on the quayside. You can learn to deep-sea dive, sail, wind-surf, surfing, beach-buggy, jet ski, quad. A visit to the new Medina of Coco Polizzi is fascinating and you can also enjoy a good lunch. The waterfalls at Immouzer can be found by taking the road through the romantic Paradise Valley with its palm trees and river then up into the mountains where you will also find lots of small stands selling fossils and other hand-made products.
